Brian York for Texas Commissioner of Agriculture

 
Brian grew up in Avon, Indiana and graduated from the University of Indianapolis majoring in Political Science.

He is a retired Staff Sergeant from the Army Reserves and has served on two stateside deployments; the first for Desert Shield/Storm and then for the War on Terror.  He has served as a Finance Specialist, a Mobile Subscription Equipment Operator (Signal Corp), Intelligence Analyst and Personnel Services Specialist.  He was the 2004 Battalion Sergeant of the Year.  His deployment to Fort Bliss prompted his decision to relocate in Texas.

Brian was employed with the Department of Defense Finance Accounting Service, then as a Content Specialist and Scoring Supervisor for CTB/McGraw-Hill and currently works at Dell in Microsoft Licensing.  He has been a Sunday school teacher, a TEFL course instructor, the webmaster for a greyhound rescue group and chairman of the Travis and Williamson County Constitution Party.  

He and his wife reside in Round Rock with their two children and two dogs.
